Santa Monica




Last night we went to Santa Monica to meet with an old friend, Andrea and her friend Colleen who were in town for one night. I babysat Andrea's kids in South Miami between 1995-2002. They are now 14 and 17! whoa! It was so fun watching Andrea love up Owen all evening- we enjoyed dinner at Shutters on the beach and Owen did a great job. It was his longest time away from home in the evening. He got a keepsake rubber ducky and teddy bear from the hotel turndown service too! What a treat!

Babymoon

We took a "babymoon" overnight trip this Valentine's weekend down to Carlsbad. We stayed right across from the beach and had time to relax, walk on the beach, eat yummy food, shop, see my cousin C. and her fiance M., and even go to the beautiful new Encinitas library! It was a great pre-parenting getaway! Now that I'm home, I'm starting to do the heavy-duty research on what we need and don't need, and I'm realizing I don't know much! For instance-how many bottles do we need? What's the difference between travel systems, infant car seats, bases and convertible car seats? Who knew that I didn't know? Not me! Wish us luck!!
