New year, new fun!

So far, here's what's "new" for Owen in the new year.

*tried out the infant swing at the local playground
*slid down the slide on momma's lap at the same park
*bananas ***
*sippy cup!
*going to the barber shop with daddy

"new" things for momma:

*using the lowering mechanism on the crib (we had to lower the mattress finally last week)

***seem to be the food he has enjoyed the most the soonest. (does that make sense?)

Babymoon

We took a "babymoon" overnight trip this Valentine's weekend down to Carlsbad. We stayed right across from the beach and had time to relax, walk on the beach, eat yummy food, shop, see my cousin C. and her fiance M., and even go to the beautiful new Encinitas library! It was a great pre-parenting getaway! Now that I'm home, I'm starting to do the heavy-duty research on what we need and don't need, and I'm realizing I don't know much! For instance-how many bottles do we need? What's the difference between travel systems, infant car seats, bases and convertible car seats? Who knew that I didn't know? Not me! Wish us luck!!
