16 months old/Happy Halloween!

Warning: This is another picture heavy post! I just have to grab the time I have to post so I end up lumping lots of pix together!
Owen is now 16 1/2 months old and so much fun! Today is Halloween and we have been enjoying lots of Halloween-y activities! For mommy and daddy's birthday two weeks ago we went to Lombardi Ranch pumpkin patch. During this past week we carved a small jack-o-lantern at home, Owen had a costume photo shoot with two friends because all three dressed as puppies this year, and we made edible playdough into pumpkins for his parent-tot class party. Today we spent the morning cleaning house (as you probably have already figured out, Owen LOVES sweeping up, vaccuuming, emptying garbage, helping to make the bed, put away shoes, and other chores. We shook out all the rugs, with him chanting "shake, shake, shake". We listened to music and played with colorful scarves, and Owen and daddy had a fun trip to the neighborhood park while mommy did some organizing. He is now napping while momma catches up on the blog, and later he and daddy have plans to watch the Patriots game before we get ready for the 3rd annual neighborhood Halloween potluck and a bit of trick or treating later. It has been such a great weekend!

As far as a sixteen month update, Owen is about 25 pounds and wearing size 4 diapers, size 5 (almost 6) shoes, and 12-18 months clothes. Believe it or not, he hasn't been to a well baby visit since his 12 month appt. in June and isn't scheduled until Dec. 22 for his 18 month appt. He has started enjoying imaginary play with dolls, stuffed animals, and small characters like animals and people. Also just this past week he has started wanting to spend time in his crib during the day other than nap/bedtime He likes to walk around his space, read, talk to his Winnie the Pooh, his green dinosaur and Scout the puppy. He has also started showing interest in climbing into the crib from outside and a little bit trying to climb out but not too much. He has started being more aware of his diaper being dirty but doesn't want it changed on his own yet. He also sat on the potty (just for fun, not to try and go on it) once this week, and is learning about flushing after you go. Luckily, he has not been one of those kids to play with toilet paper or put things in the toilet (yet).
