Christmas

The Christmas season was full of traditions new and old, and lots of fun activities. It seems like we didn't take too many pictures on Christmas itself, will try to remedy that next year. But the flipside is we were all present in the room and not stuck behind a camera so we could enjoy it all. The main thing for O. this year was that he learned lots of Christmas words, like Santa "hanta", tree, stockings, and reindeer, and that he enjoyed unwrapping things. He really wanted to enjoy and play with each gift as he opened it, so gifts took about four days to get through. We had saved all the packages mailed from out of town friends and relatives, and next year I think we will open them as they arrive, so he can enjoy them as much as he wants right away.
We picked out our tree before daddy left for a week in Chicago.

Owen went to a special four session holiday/winter music class with Miss Moira. When daddy went to Chicago, Grandpa came along and pulled him in the "sleigh".

They also enjoyed trying out a variety of fun instruments.

And pretending to be reindeer doing the "reindeer pokey"!

We went to meet daddy at the Flyaway shuttle after his week in "cago". It was cold and rainy, but we were SO happy to see him!

The next day we all got together to decorate the tree. Grandma and Grandpa Prichard brought me my own little tree and I decorated it using tongs to put the fuzzy balls, stars and ribbons on.

Daddy and I put the angel on top. Maybe next year I will be able to reach by myself!

Momma and I made green playdough

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Prichard's on Christmas Eve. I tried my first ice cream cone!

I loved it! More please!

Daddy reads me his Night Before Christmas book from 1973.

I cooked pine cones for everyone in my new kitchen on Christmas!

I had fun decorating thank you notes to send after Christmas!
