First well-baby appointment/first day mommy and O.

Owen went to the dr. on Monday, June 29, 2009. He saw Dr. Diab.
Owen's stats:

weight: 9 lbs. 4.7 oz. (61st percentile)
length: 22 1/4 inches (91st percentile)
head circumference: 37 cm. (43rd percentile)
moro reflex: good
Dr. says "he is perfect!"

There is no percentile system for hair!

So today is mommy's first day at home with baby alone. We are doing great! Here is a rundown of our day so far:

O. has settled into a new pattern the past couple of days of eating every 2 hours instead of every 3 and not falling to sleep for about 45 min. to an hour after eating. This means that instead of a good 3 hours of sleep for mommy, mommy is lucky to get one hour! So this is what they were talking about! So far, I've managed to eat and rest when he does, but our day so far has been like this:
3:00 am ate
5-6 slept
6:00 ate
7-8 slept
8:00 ate
9:30-10:30 slept (mom eats breakfast)
10:30 ate
11:30-12:30 slept (mom eats lunch, closes eyes for 20 min., takes out chicken to thaw for dinner)
12:30 ate
1:30 starts to fall asleep- not sleeping yet!
we are having fun!

All I have to say is that the first 6 weeks are the most challenging. Get to 6 weeks and all sorts of things start to change for the better. Well and once he smiles at you for real, you won't even care.
