Thanksgiving week

We had fall break all week, so I got to be a stay at home mom and catch up on playdates, fun with O. and household chores plus get a jumpstart on the holiday to-do list! Here is a run-down of our week:

Monday: playdate with Tia Alice and cousin Oqwe. The boys had a blast and enjoyed eating lunch together at O's little table. I brought out the second chair and all week since he's left he keeps pointing to the chair and saying "Otwe". It's so cute!
After O's nap Tuesday afternoon I took him with me to HomeGoods. I'd been wanting to get there for a month or so just to see and finally I decided to just take him along. He did great!

Tuesday: O. and I were up and ready early (by 8:45) to head over and pick up Hannah and Liam so we could all head to Yucaipa, (about 100 miles southeast) to visit Carmen, Jesse, and Camilla Rose. We had such a fun visit. O. ate so much chicken, potatoes and fruit at lunch I could hardly believe it.

Wednesday: Up and ready by 9:15 to head to library storytime over at Newhall library. It was my first time going and we had fun! There were over a dozen kids with their parents. They do it before regular opening time so it's very quiet and no other people were there. Afterward we headed to grocery shop and then home. I made grandma Jo's goulash for dinner that night. yummy!

Thursday: Thanksgiving! Woke up around 7 as every day and played with O. (this means cleaning up the kitchen. He loves emptying dishwasher and crawling up on his One Step Ahead kitchen stool to help with the dishes! A favorite activity.) We made cinnamon rolls and watched the Macy's Parade from 9-11 (with some Patriots football mixed in) and while O. napped momma and daddy got some side dishes prepped to take to Thanksgiving dinner. We went to Gretchen and Auggie's for a delicous smorgasboard and the two toddlers enjoyed each other. After dinner and dessert we drove to LAX to pick up my parents from their Florida trip.

Friday: A laid-back morning playing with mom and dad at home. Grandma and Grandpa bring over bagels and coffee around 8:30. Then later after O's nap we head to G and G's to hang out and have bbq pork dinner. We head over around 2 and enjoy seeing their holiday decorations and girl baby clothes they have found. I make a gingerbread cake for dessert and we head home around 7:15. Daddy and Momma watch a Netflix movie.

Saturday: O. gets a morning bath after his daily "nana" and a "baby" bagel from Western Bagel. Later we read books in his room and get dressed to head to G and G's so O. can play while Momma and daddy test drive some Mazdas.

Sunday: Momma went to a fabulous birthday brunch for a friend while daddy and O. hung out at home. Later in the afternoon, we all went outside in the windy cold and daddy hung our light on the garage while we played with the big wheel and sidewalk chalk. What a fun week!
