Owen's Monkey Business

We decided to take Owen on a beach outing Sunday, January 23. Little did we know it would be our last outing as a family of three!

On Saturday, Jan. 8, we drove to Frazier Park to the snow where daddy and O. had fun sledding!

Since September Owen has been attending a parent-tot class from 9-11 on Friday mornings at a local church preschool. My parents take him, but I have gone once and Derek has been able to go twice so far. The first hour they can play outside or try painting, playdough, or play centers. Then they have circle time and snack, music/songs and one more circle time before they can play outside again at the end. Here are some shots from this year. They also do special crafts each month so I have my first ornament (a sparkly snowflake) and a laminated Thanksgiving placemat with his handprint and mine.

As most of you know, we are blessed to have my parents caring for Owen while we are working. Here are some of the adventures they have. So much fun! I love that he is learning so much from them and it has been amazing. Now we just need to get them in the pix with O!

Derek found a cool iphone app called Instagram and has started using it with some iphone pix. I haven't tried it myself yet but here are some of the results. Pretty fun.

A couple of Sundays ago it snowed in our town! This doesn't happen often, though it does snow within 30-40 miles of here.
