Babyfit Nutrition Tracker

We are focusing on better snack choices like tangerines and carrots. One of our favorite new meals is yogurt with frozen berries and add-ins like protein powder, almonds, and flaxseed. yum! K. brings home her little one today! I ordered flowers with a teddy bear for her from Baumann's florist, which is just down the street from her house. It's run by the family of a high school classmate. He called and said they couldn't deliver on Sunday but I played my "former classmate" card and he agreed to deliver the bouquet today. Cool!

Health Kick

D. and I joined online calorie-counters yesterday. His is on Spark People and mine is an offshoot called BabyFit. I am so excited the Spark People had some expectant employees and came up with the BabyFit idea, because it tracks calcium, folate and iron as well as calories etc. Just what I was looking for. So we started yesterday. Lots of fun!

Christmas Eve

Image
We are enjoying a peaceful family holiday here at home this year. Part of the fun is reviving and combining some of our old family traditions and also establishing new ones. It is wonderful to imagine sharing this season with a child at some point in our future... Some of the yuletide traditions~ *adding a new holiday storybook each year *putting the angel at the top of the tree *sitting for a family photo *reading "The Night Before Christmas" before going to sleep on Christmas Eve *adding an ornament to our collection Happy holidays to all...hopefully at this time next year I'll have a little baby bump!

Our neighbors gave us their 4 year old's crib tonight...it's gorgeous cherry wood and looks like this: It also converts to a toddler bed and a twin. Pretty cool, huh?
