Owen's Monkey Business

with cousin Maria with cousins Diana and Christopher With Lawrence, Sandra, Richard, Katie, Sal and Matthew with Aunt Priscilla and Uncle Chris (Grandma Robyn's sister and brother) October has been a fun and busy month at our house! Well, actually a lot of the fun has been outside the house! We visited lots of cousins and mom and dad spent their birthday at Disneyland while Owen hung out at the hotel with his grandpa Denny and grandma Joy. Of course he didn't leave Anaheim without his very own pair of personalized mouse ears! This month Owen has hit several milestones: rolling over back to front, sitting up in a highchair, starting solids (Oct. 16) (rice cereal), and holding his own pacifier and bottle! He can take the pacifier out and put it back in on his own. He seems to enjoy the cereal (more at the 4/5 pm feeding than at the 8/9 am one) He loves to kick and splash the water out of the bathtub now, more ends up on the floor than in the tub! Owen has been busy lately...grabbing and holding toys, looking at his own hands and feet, and just in the past couple of days, sleeping through the night and bearing weight on his legs! He has rolled over once on his own from front to back. He had fun meeting his new friend Will last weekend. Will was born June 24, and is the son of our friends Beth and Darin. He has the most beautiful expressive eyes!

In celebration of my dad's 65th birthday, we visited the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. We really enjoyed walking through the displays. Later we met my cousins at Canter's Deli in the same area of LA (Fairfax). Such a fun night seeing the babies together too!
