Owen's Monkey Business

I am 20 1/2 weeks in this pic. Last Sunday (Sept. 12) we celebrated Grandpa's 66th by having lunch at our house. There was London Broil on garlic bread toast, yummy sides, and of course chocolate cake! Owen had a special cucpake tin lunch, with something different in each section. He had yogurt, strawberries, beans, garlic toast, potatoes and milk. After lunch we tried out Owen's first big wheel. He turned 15 months on the same day. It was a fun family celebration. Coming up: Grandma Joy's birthday on Sept. 23 and Gramp Joe's on Nov. 1!

So many of Owen's friends were also born in June, so we have the pleasure of LOTS of celebrations this month. We had to miss Simon's and Liam's, but we made it to Will's lion themed party at the park. Owen must've gone down the curly slide with one of the other of us at least 15 times! I taught with Will's mom for two years at the charter school in LA, and though we don't live close by each other, we try to get together two or three times per year. Next up on the meet ups, trips to Kidspace museum in Pasadena and Pretend City in Irvine.

Owen was invited to a birthday party on Nov. 7. My friend and colleague's son Ryan was born on Veteran's Day last year and they had his first birthday party at their house. It was a lot of fun and Owen had a great time. Ryan's little cousin Chad was there too. He was nine months at the time.
